forgiveness

just a quick blog: i just heard a very wise thing said, and clever. On Ghost Whisperer no less. I know that not being jealous, forgiving others, not being upset when someone cuts you off in traffic, etc - none of that is meant to benefit the other guy, its for US. Carrying around that negative crap eats us alive, and ruins our day as well as the people we are around in our foul moods, and the other guy goes merrily on, either unaware of you at all (as in traffic) or delighted that they bothered you so badly, that they have that power over you, etc. The ghost on the show put it this way: UNFORGIVENESS is like drinking poison and waiting for the OTHER person to die.
