My computer recently crashed and wiped out every single thing I had stored, including all my pix, which I didn't back up on discs or any of the photo sites I belong to. Well. Just got it back from the repair dude, and my daughters , Jessilyn (seen below with her daughter Kenzi) and Brittany (also below, on the right hand side) have each uploaded one memory card of pix, so I didn't have a lot to choose from. This is a problem because my son Jeffrey and grandson Jaden (like father like son) run and hide when the cameras come out. So I don't have as many of them as the others. Yet. I'm a Libra - things must be perfectly balanced and fair before I can rest easy, and I will fix this soon if only for me.
Here, we have my girl Britty in a shot where you can see that massive hair she has. She just had me cut about 8 inches off yesterday and it is still almost to the arch of her back but she says it feels a ton lighter. It will be back to this length in 6 weeks, too. And there's Britty at her JRAFROTC ball. She was a princess, as you can clearly see by looking at her gorgeous self (but maybe I'm prejudiced? Naw!) I think, tho I'm not certain, that Britt and her friends here were possibly gettin down with their bad selves, perhaps, just perhaps, being just a bit goofy. (MY kids? NAW!)
And here to the left you will see a very rare shot, an animal thusfar a legend in the realm of cryptozoology, the never before captured on film... ok well maybe he has been photographed quite a lot, but that was as a child, before he became a sulky forlorn teenaged boy, and then, after having children, the boy did something I never ever would've reckoned upon - he turned into his own father, thru no fault of my own I swear - it must be genetic. So, the sulky teen refusal to take a pic became whatever-it-is-that-makes-some-grown-men not like to have their pic taken. Had to sneak up on him arriving.
Princess Brittany and her Prince (I do remember his name but I'm afraid of copyright infringement. Okay I forgot it.) But he sure was cute standing next to my baby, wutn't he?
Here they are again- I used so many of such a similar shot because of the lack of pix of Jaden - put every one I have on the 'puter in this blog here today, but there are more, and soon as my printer is fixed I'll be adding them. (Day I got the computer home, hooked up my all-in-one, and it managed to break while sitting still on the shelf. Gremlins, I'm sure. No, really.)
Here is Jaden attacking me. I'm bony, but I'm wiry. Like Grover.
This is either a self portrait of Angel, or Tristan took it. And this reminds me, it wasn't til I got 'em uploaded that I noticed nobody fixed these pix up yet, and everyone except Tristan has blue eyes, so of course we have a lotta red-eyed photos here. But they're blue in real life, as you can sorta see here, tho Angel's eyes are remarkably deep vivid blue, so much so they look violet in certain light or with certain clothes she wears.
And here is an example - red-eyed Kenzi with her grandfather, aka Papa, aka Papa Bear.
Angel.
Tristan, Jessi's son, had been playing on the porch, or deck or whatever the ragged thing is, and when Jessi looked out to check on him, he'd grabbed a pillow out of the laundry by the front door, and he was sound asleep here.
Kenzi and Tristan have birthdays about 1 1/2 weeks apart, so Jessi had a little picnick party for the two of them for the family, at the park, and this is Kenzi's own private individual-sized smashing mess-making cake. This child is not shy, and this child is a dainty, pretty, petite little mean girl, and she would be standing in the middle of any other cake - any food for that - that she could get access to; yet when we gave this to her and told her to have at it, she looked at us like we had lost our minds. Barely touched it for 10 minutes. But she did eventually make the mess we wanted so desperately for cuteness sake.
The partial person in the back left-hand side is Papa, and that's gramma (aka me) with the gray sweater and pony tail, and next is my daughter-in-heart Jenny (Jeff's womern, Angel and Jaden's mommy), and then Angel, Britty, and I dunno the partial person next for certain but it may be my sister Amy.
Tristan muggin for the camera- out of order tho: there's actually a whole sequence and it began with the pic of Jessi muggin, and Tristan took the picture. Really not sure if she knew he was taking it or not. But he did an excellent job for a kid who was only 3 yrs and 2 days old.
This is my grandmother, who is exactly the same to me as another mama (as is truth with my daddy and poppy, who both passed away a couple of years ago within 6 months of each other and almost devastated us all). But me and all my friends and my kids, and their friends, and my own grandkids, all call her Mother, evidently cuz I couldn't get "grandmother" out of my mouth, and it caught on. Confused, and still confuses, lots of people when I forget how it sounds to others, and talk about "mama" and "mother" - usually takes 'em a while to decide whether I'm talking about one person or two. This was taken on March 22, and on the 24th she had her 80th birthday, and but for some arthritis in her hands and her ankles and feet, she is still going strong. On the phone, her voice, you'd think she was about 25 if you didn't know better.
Brittany and Kenzi at the beach, about a week or so before it snowed for the first time this year in West Tennessee. And a week after that we were wearing shorts again. Every year, everyone says they just cannot believe this weather, and I do too, but in fact this is the way it is in this part of the world. The only difference in my 42 years is that it used to snow here. We may get a few dustings, and a 3 inch snowfall is rare and a big deal and will empty out all the bread and milk (tho nobody actually stays home because of it- we are country folk after all. Well, except the schools. Seems today's teachers want snow days worse than the kids -Jaden has missed two days this year because a chance of snow was in the forecast, when all it did was rain a little. Seems they get 5 snow days they don't have to make up, and the teachers make sure they get those paid days off. Nobody, in any profession from McDonald's to the Governor, wants to do what they get paid to do anymore, and those very same people are the worst ones to demand and complain and expect royal treatment when THEY are the ones trying to buy a product or service. The world today, lawdy lawd.)
When Jaden is upset or sad, he has the absolute saddest most pitimous face in the world and it breaks my old heart. The problem here: didn't want me to take his picture.
Here's Kenzi. Hm. Crazier things have happened... what the hay - if anyone reads this who happens to live in my area and knows William Hart, have him look at these pix, especially Kenzi. William was a trusted friend of the family - close enough to come to Thanksgiving at Mother's house. When Jessi had Tristan 8 weeks prematurely, after being in the hospital on complete bedrest for a month trying to hold him in as long as possible, Tristan's dad was not there - he showed up once for about half an hour all told, and mostly to try to get Jessi back. Deadbeat dad to the extreme. Coty Hall is his name. But William was there, visited Jessi, went down to the preemie ward and saw Tristan. But he sorta dropped outta the picture when Jessi got pregnant with his baby. But it is her fault you see - he told me so. She was an experienced 18 year old girl, and he was a mere 33 year old, innocent man, and after all he was a good friend to me and my husband, and we practically told him to take her and do as he pleased when we knew she had a crush on him and didn't lock her up. After all, it could not be a believable thing that we didn't take the crush seriously, and that we trusted him, and the age difference, and the fact he knew what she'd been thru and her crush came from William being there, acting like he cared about her and Tristan when Coty did not, and also from her missing her own father who sorta lost his mind a bit after our divorce, and then became a good dad again, and then left the state and didn't even call for over 2 years. Silly of us. Cruel, actually, to do poor Willie that-a-way. So if you know him tell him we are so ashamed, and let him see his daughter which he claims is not his but won't take a paternity test for (DA around here ain't worth a shit), knowing the timing is right, knowing she was stuck home with baby Tristan and not running around, and had just broken up with her fiancee of 1 year 6 weeks before it happened, not to mention several people have told him Kenzi looks just like him. We're so sorry William, to have done a good friend as badly as we did you, and I just pray someone reads this and shows it to you, so you will know. And to hear him tell it, William is a good man, hurt by the way his friends before us have used him, and a tough man, a man's man, the type of man who would never run away from anything - won the local tough-man contest, he did. Out of about 200 bar fights and such, he won about 158 1/2 of them, and he's so modest, just like Clint Eastwood, he knows he's bad and doesn't have to brag. And a hurt soul too, cuz of his own parents and his childhood. How terrible can we be to such a good man. We should just rot over this.
Here's that snow I was talking about earlier. Lasted almost a whole day before it melted!
Jaden eating an Easter cuppycake

It's 6 am and you gotta give me a break, I been up all night (bit o insomnia) and I'm maybe feeling a little goofy meself, maybe a tad obnoxious, maybe I'll just stick to talkin bout the pix.
Princess Brittany and her Prince (I do remember his name but I'm afraid of copyright infringement. Okay I forgot it.) But he sure was cute standing next to my baby, wutn't he?
And here above us are some of my grandkids. To the very far left-hand side we see the elusive Jaden, son of Jeffrey, another rarely photographed species. God I still cannot believe I'm old enough to have a 6 year old grandson in kindergarten and everthang. JEEEZ. That's Tristan next to him, Jessilyn's son and oldest child. Then there is Molly, my nephew's only child. Matthew is one of one of my sister's kids, and we all live together on Wooley Hill - my Poppy had a lot of property, so my dad and mom, then me n my family and both my sisters and their families, well we just moved out of our rooms and into the backyards and sideyards and we just kept right a truckin, so our kids are more like siblings than cousins. Or, really close cousins. I'll get my sissies and their families and just ever dang one in here before too long. But way in the shadows in the back, in the yellow dress is my grandgirl, and Jeffrey's daughter, Angel. (And the chubby wittle hand is Kenzi. Couldn't just omit her wittle chubby hand, just did not feel right.)
Here they are again- I used so many of such a similar shot because of the lack of pix of Jaden - put every one I have on the 'puter in this blog here today, but there are more, and soon as my printer is fixed I'll be adding them. When my son Jeffrey was 4 years old, he had a FIT when we started to sing Happy Birthday at his party. Covered his ears and screamed for us to stop. And nobody has sang it to him since. I'd never seen anything like it before, until: this child, definitely his father's son, did the same thing, but on his 3rd birthday, and will not allow us to sing it to him, and actually doesn't like anyone singing anything to him, nor around him unless you have perfect pitch and do a song he likes. Thinkin he may actually have perfect pitch and anything offkey at all actually hurts his ears - some inharmonious sounds hurt my ears (some of the singers that make a success of those ragged voices just astounds me -and i don't mean Britney and Madonna and their electronically perfected voices - I mean regular singers, country singers especially it seems lately, OH i will not rant. But that chick that sings that Johnny and June song - JEEBUS! The verses are fine - good, even. But the chorus makes me cry. I'm not jokin. It literally hurts my ears so badly I cannot bear it and do not understand how it ever sold anything. But I stray from my point...) Jaden's ears are MUCH MUCH more sensitive, the way he acts anyhow. I need to ask someone who knows about these matters...
Angel peeking out the window - these kids LOVE this little crappy expensive playhouse. I didn't think it was anything near worth its price, until I saw how crazy they are over it. Turns out , it was an excellent investment, and tho small and plain, its very durable. That's my consumer opinion for today, I guess.

OH NO, i hope he doesn't sue me for this - William already threatened to sue me for slander, til me, bitch that i am, told him you can't sue someone for slander unless it actually harms you financially or ruins your reputation, and his is already bad (thought he was misunderstood for a long time, we did - turns out he is misunderstood - NOBODY knew exactly how he IS),and that to be slander it has to be a LIE. And to just go on and sue, I'd love HIM to take ME and JESSILYN to court, for saying he's the father. That is all she or I said, and only then to two people because we didn't want it spread around. See what she's dealing with! Guilty guilty, she feels over what she did to him, or at least, that is his side of it all.

And here are her beautiful children. Deserve so much more. Jessi and these two kids are the sweetest things, and jesus girls if any of you read this, don't be a fool over any man. There ARE good men, but not the bad boys, not the misunderstood boys, etc, and they DO NOT CHANGE. He has a kid he doesn't take care of? Won't take care of yours if you get preggers either. Been to jail? Will likely go back. Hit you or an ex (no matter how much that bitch "deserved" it) he will hit you to, and will never stop. And probably your kids. Out of school and won't keep a job? Don't expect anything beyond moving in and out of trailer parks. And no, he ain't different, neither are you, nor is your "love", you cannot save him, no this whatever is happening won't change him etc etc. And please, if you are fool enough to get with a man like that - or a woman like that to you good guys - don't bring an innocent child into it. Use birth control for the sake of some innocent soul, and for the entire world - there'd be a lot less suffering in it, of every kind, if we were all smart enough to know when to hold em and when to fold em, when to walk away and when to run...And yes, I do understand, I've been there, done that, got the shirt as the old saying goes, and seen many friends, family, my own kids, and people on Oprah, Dr Phil and Jerry Springer go thru it.

Oh such negativity, and on my first family blog, with all these gorgeous pix of my beautiful children. Enough. Sunny side of life n all
And here are the babies in their playhouse, surrounded by more love than many kids with a mom and dad get, but still one day the questions will come.
